The sea around us is covered with countless, on the surface floating algae carpets. They come in different sizes and are typically aligned in wind direction. Such algae stripes are often quite long and it is impracticable to steer around them. Luckily we found out that there is no problem in going right through those carpets. Only the towing generator need to be cleaned all the time.
This morning around 7 am we had covered half the distance to the Caribbean. This event we will properly celebrate during this afternoon.
