After clearing out in Kuah we sail together with the Australian Sailing Yacht Watusi II around the eastern shore of Langkawi with the destination "Hole in the Wall". That is a name for an anchorage, given by other sailors, because of the narrow entrance into the Kilim Karst Geoforest Park.

That scenic area of Langkawi is totally different from the southern part, since it feels like being in Fjordland, in New Zealand. Steep rocky limestone formations with mangrove swamps are characteristic for that area. Some tourist boats and kayaks are the only signs of other humans. Unfortunately we do not have time anymore to explore the mangrove swamps and water inlets by dinghy or kayak anymore, but we hope we can do it on our way back from Thailand.
