After a rainy day it´s time to check out the area on land. The little town Iluka at the northern shore of the Clearance River seems quite sleepy. It is a beautiful sunny day and it does not feel like the beginning of the Australian winter season. We enjoy the walk on the wave breakers at the river mouth, watch the surfers riding the waves, stroll along the wide sandy beach to the rocky peninsular Iluka Bluff, where the Bundjalung National Park starts.
