Our new home town Foshan (Chinese: 佛山) is located in the Pearl River Delta (PRD). It is one of the most densely urbanized regions in the world and one of the main hubs of China´s economic growth. Some estimates place the population of the entire Pearl River Delta Mega City built up area as high as 40 million. This includes Guangzhou (13 million), Shenzhen (10.36 million), Dongguan (8.22 million), Foshan (5.4 milion), Jiangmen (4.45 million), Zhongshan (3.12 million). Some calculations show that this not even 3 percent of Chinas population in the PRD produces about 30% of Chinas export goods (and, some believe, about 90 percent of the artificial Christmas trees).
In Foshan, similar to any other mega city in PRD, we feel everywhere, how the incredible business sense and the hard working people have created a very amazing economical boom with few parallels in history and turned China and particularly the PRD region in the factory for the world.
