Passage from Pohnpei to Guam
This passage leads from Pohnpei in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) to Guam Island which is part of the USA. The direct line is about 900 nautical miles. During the passage we expect relatively constant trade winds, with about 20 knots from Northeast. We are very alert since we cross the area where the Typhoons are born and starting there destructive existence. Even it is the season with the smallest likelihood for Typhoons in this area of the ocean, but this is relative and it can always happen. So we have to watch the weather development very closely.
