Passage to the Azores
We should not stay longer then necessary on Bermuda, since it is located on the moving tracks of the hurricanes.
It is not advisable for sailing vessels to sail on a direct course to the Azores. This would lead through the center of a high pressure system located in the center of the northern Atlantic, in the proximity of the Azores. The problem is that inside of this high pressure system is very little wind, or no wind at all.
We are planning our route around this high pressure system in the hope that we can sail. But anyway we are expecting a lot of motoring on this passage.
