The little Baie de Tahauku it very crowded with lots of sailing boats. This is because the World ARC is stopping here to clear in as well. More and more yachts are arriving every day.
The anchorage is spectacular. It is just inside the crater of the old volcano. Its steep walls are surrounding the bay in various distances and the very top of about 3600 ft is always covered in dark clouds.
