JoAnne and Michael On Idaho Road Trip | Congratulations Lutz and Gabi for making it around the Cape and your landfall in Africa! You’ve had a very interesting passage, from your extraordinarily large tuna catch which fed you for many , many days, to dealing with large waves and ship traffic, and then the build up to, and final achievement of, rounding the Cape. We are thankful that you had your weather advisor Des to help guide you, but that does not make the challenge of enduring the confusing seas with large waves and high winds any easier. Thought of you today as we served banana bread with brother Steve and nephew Max and happy you had some bananas on board to enjoy some “banana bread/birthday cake” along the way. We look forward to speaking with you when you get settled in. Congratulations and sending our love. |

Du erinnerst dich an unseren gescheiterten Versuch sich in Kalifornien zu treffen, lass uns doch den nächsten für Mauritius starten. Heike & Gunnar Chemnitz | Liebe Gabi, lieber Lutz! Wir waren bei euch 16 Tage an Bord und hatten eine unvergesslich großartige Zeit. Als Landratten haben wir jetzt einen Eindruck von der „blauen Zweisamkeit“, welche ihr lebt. Wir haben miterlebt was Segeln ist und sind sehr dankbar dafür. Für uns war es trotz Seegang Erholung pur. Das Treffen mit den anderen Seglern, die Unternehmungen an Land, die vielen Gespräche und der Blick auf das Meer bleiben uns immer in Erinnerung. Segeln entlang der Küste von West-Malaysia |

Ernst Kuantan | Hallo liebe Gabi und lieber Lutz. Möchte mich nochmals recht herzlich für die wunderschöne und aufregende Fahrt entlang der Küste von Kuantan bis Pulau Redang bedanken. So hatte ich die Möglichkeit zum ersten Mal die Küste vom Meer aus zu sehen. Vom Meer gesehen sieht die Küste viel schöner aus als von der Straße entlang der Küste. Hätte nicht gedacht das Segeln soviel Spaß machen kann. Erst hatte ich ein bisschen Angst vom Schaukeln auf dem Schiff. Aber wie es sich herausgestellt hatte, hat das Schaukeln mir geholfen seelenruhig einzuschlafen . Wünsche euch weiterhin eine schönes und sicheres Segeln. Peggy und Peter Chemnitz | Liebe Gabi, lieber Lutz! Wir möchten uns noch einmal ganz herzlich für die 2 verbrachten wunderschönen Wochen auf eurem Boot bedanken. Ihr habt mit uns eine landschaftlich traumhafte Segeltour unternommen, die für uns unvergesslich ist. Wir ankerten mit euch in einsamen Buchten, die Picknicks bei Sonnenuntergang mit selbst gebackenen Brot und leckeren Dips sowie die vielen Landgänge aufs thailändische Festland, haben unseren Urlaub perfekt gemacht.
