Tutukaka Coast

Tutkaka Coast is a coastal area around the well protected bay with its friendly marina. It is only a small town with several residencies divided over the hills around the bay. Only 600 people live here permanently, but during the summer months they increase to more than 2400.

No wonder, it is a great tourist destination with several hotels and other accommodations, since the shore with its cliffs, islands and beaches is really beautiful. Only 22 km off shore the Poor Knight Islands, a marine park, attracts lots of visitors, especially scuba divers to see the unique under water world.
