Last day before start

We are very busy. After our gearbox was repaired we took the boat back in to the water. But the first test drive yesterday afternoon was not very good. The mechanical engineers were coming back immediately and working until late in the night to find and fix the problems. Today we have to do another test sail, also to check if our new furling jib system is o.k. Our yesterday bought fruits and vegetable will be delivered and Kirstin helps me to get it cleaned. This is very important before taking it on board. Otherwise all the tiny eggs at the vegetables will become cochroches, which nobody want to have on board. We are checking out today and have a skippers briefing about all the requirements of the race. Since a view days a TV team from the MDR is making documentations about the ARC and spends some time with us – see also NEWS. Tomorrow the race will start at 14.00 UTC. We are exited and busy to finish all our preparations in time.
