Adventure ”Diesel Engine” (continued)

First we have to present the bad news: All our efforts to change the fuel for our diesel engine from diesel to seawater have badly failed. The engine is again humming nicely away. However it does not consume any water anymore, just diesel fuel. Robin "Fixman 2" and his mechanics Dough and Elvis have assembled the engine back to function. They pressurized the entire fresh water cooling system in order to detect any leaks in the system. They found none. They also pressure tested the warm water boiler. There are also no leaks. The most likely assumption for the water in the first cylinder was a leaking cylinder head gasket. The picture shows Lutz cleaning the engine room. He is sucking the spilled cooling water with our a vacuum cleaner from the bilge. Now we are ready to switch the "Status Indicator" of our SuAn back to green. So, this episode of our continued series finds its end now. However we are quite sure that it will not take very long until there comes a new edition of the Adventure "Diesel Engine". Stay tuned!
